A Dreamy Slumber...

Dewy drops,
of a fresh ray-
It hit me hard,
right at my eyes,
and, I had to,
shield myself,
from the light,
ever so bright.

I looked out,
through the corner,
of my eyes,
and I saw,
his face.
Gentle, smiling,
he stood,
waiting, for me.

I rushed in,
no barriers,
to stop me.
I felt myself calm,
in the warmth,
of his arms.
I felt my breath halt.

And I slipped in,
into a slumber,
of life,
of dreams,
of eternal smiles...
